1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Veteran App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Veteran App is a mobile application designed to help veterans, their families, and the broader community connect with RSL sub-branches across New South Wales. The App provides:

• Information about RSL sub-branches, including locations, contact details, and services.
• Event listings and notifications for activities at RSL sub-branches.
• Access to veteran support services and resources.
• Push notifications for important updates and announcements.
• The ability to save favourite locations and events.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

Some features of the App may require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
• Keep your password secure and confidential.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
• Impersonate or attempt to impersonate another person or entity.
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the App.
• Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other malicious code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the App or any systems or networks connected to the App.
• Use any automated means to access the App or collect any information from the App.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent feedback or information.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by RSL NSW, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our App, except as incidentally necessary to use the App for its intended purpose.

6. User Content

You may be able to submit content through the App, such as feedback or profile information. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.

You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights to the content you submit, and that the content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

7. Third-Party Content and Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.

8. Location Services

The App may use location services to provide you with relevant information about nearby RSL sub-branches and events. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings.

9. Push Notifications

The App may send you push notifications about events, updates, and other relevant information. You can manage your notification preferences through the App settings or your device settings at any time.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP.

Information about RSL sub-branches, events, and services is provided for general informational purposes only. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of such information.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RSL NSW, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR:

• ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
• ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
• ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE APP.
• ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE APP.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RSL NSW, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of and access to the App.
• Your violation of any term of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any copyright, property, or privacy right.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms within the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New South Wales, Australia.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RSL NSW regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties.
