This simply designed timber honour roll has a classical pediment at the top and decorative circular designs on each corner piece. The pediment features a bright blue ribbon banner, which highlights the years of the Vietnam War. The names of those who served in the war are printed in gold, across three columns, in the centre of the board. Most of the 128 names are in alphabetical order, except for three at the bottom of the third column, which have been added later. The memorial was unveiled on Vietnam Veterans Day, 18 August 2016. This date remembers Australia's participation in the Battle of Long Tan in South Vietnam on 18 August 1966. The unveiling was held on the 50th anniversary of the battle. The roll was made by Paul Tiernan Woodwork in Kyogle and the lettering was completed by Lismore Signs and Graphics. The memorial was funded by the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs. Access to the memorial is restricted to the opening hours of the Kyogle Memorial Institute. Also on site is the Kyogle Memorial Institute Honour Roll, which includes some of these veterans on its Vietnam panel.
