This memorial site consists of the original stone column and two more recent stone walls. The column is dedicated to the Great War. It features a column, topped with a winged female statue. The column stands on a square base, which is inscribed with the dedication and honour roll. To the left and right of the rear of the column are two memorial walls dedicated to the Second World War and later conflicts. The memorial site divides the road within the Maitland Park.
