The Goolmangar District Second World War Honour Roll is located inside the local School of Arts hall. It is a polished timber board with a curved pedestal at the top, inset with a red stylised crown in the centre. It has carved columns on either side of the names of those who served and at the bottom it has three supporting shelves. The quality of the design and the signwriting indicates that the memorial was created by skilled artisans. The list of names in the centre of the board is printed in gold and split into two columns. It is an alphabetical list, which indicates that the memorial was completed after the end of the war. Towards the top of the board are three names that are printed within a green laurel wreath. These names are of the fallen: L.B. Barnes, G.T. Synott and H.C. Youngberry. The unveiling was advertised in the Northern Star (Lismore) on 7 June 1950 by G. Youngberry. The ad invited district returned soldiers and next of kin to the unveiling and dedication of the memorial, which was planned for on 9 June at 8pm.
