This war memorial is a bronze honour roll for the First World War. It was made in Sydney by the Wunderlich Company. It is decorated with eucalyptus leaves, the Union Jack, and the Australian flag. The names of those who served are attached to the memorial using individual name plates. The roll was unveiled in the Bonshaw Hall, now known as the Bonshaw Memorial Hall, on 27 September 1918. Mr W Gobbert occupied the chair and speeches were made by President of the Ashford Shire D M Sinclair, Councillor George Phifer, and Mr W B Merry. Mrs Fraser of Lagoon Flat in Bonshaw, who had two sons killed in the action, performed the unveiling.
