The Berry School of Arts hall was built in 1905. In 1921, a lead-inset marble plaque commemorating those who had served in the First World War was fixed to the right hand side of the main entrance to the hall. The plaque stands approximately 1m high by 1.5 m wide. The plaque is unusual in recording the names of those who had enlisted, however did not serve overseas, as well as those who served on 'home duties' in such things as the Comforts Fund. The hall is located 500m west of the Berry War Memorial on Alexandra Street.
