The Edgeworth Memorial Neighbourhood Centre is a single storey, timber-clad building with a metal roof. Known as the Young Wallsend Community Hall in the 1950s, the original hall was built on land donated to the community by The Joint Coal Board and funded by contributions from locals. The hall was renovated in 1984 and renamed Edgeworth Community Hall. At some stage after this, it became known as the Edgeworth Memorial Neighbourhood Centre. Inside the centre, taking pride of place on the stage, are two timber honour rolls: the Young Wallsend Great War Roll of Honour and the Young Wallsend Second World War Roll of Honour. Both rolls reference a previous name for Edgeworth, Young Wallsend.
