This memorial is a marble honor roll for the Second World War. It is located on the northern wall on the verandah of the former Nundle Shire Office, next to the Nundle Shire First World War Honor Roll. The First World War memorial was donated by local pastoralist Frank Thomas Payne in April 1918. Following his expressed wish, the Second World War memorial was donated by his family in 1947. It is the same design as the earlier one and is constructed of Italian marble, ornately outlined in brown King Edward marble, and inscribed with gilt lettering.
