This war memorial consists of two individual plaques, dedicated to veterans who served in the Second World War. They are attached to low plinths and set into the ground of the centre strip along Tudor Street in Hamilton East, NSW, between Gordon and Parkway Avenues. The plaques were originally placed at the base of two Norfolk Pines, planted on 30 March 1954. The trees were removed on 28 September 2011 following 80kph winds, which brought one of them down (Newcastle Herald, 29 September 2011).
