This wooden memorial board is approximately 2 meters tall and lists 27 veterans from the area who volunteered for the First World War. Four of the veterans who died in active service are listed with an star following their names, a further three have their service records also marked as died while in the service. Five are unable to be identified with confidence on the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) database or on the National Archives of Australia. Five of the veterans listed have running service numbers: B Cooper, 2538; Leonard Crossingham, 2539; William Crossingham, 2540; Wellington Cooper, 2541; and George Crossingham, 2542. All five joined the A.I.F. on the same day, 22 September 1916. All lived in the local area and were allocated to the 33rd Battalion. The memorial can be found in the South West Rocks RSL Club.
