The memorial consists of a large granite boulder, set on a concrete base, with three bronze plaques attached. It is dedicated to two local soldiers, and the 7th Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment (R.A.R.) active in South Vietnam 1967–1968. The memorial is situated in Alma Park, Uralla. It was dedicated by the 7 R.A.R. Association and opened by Mr Tony Windsor, MP, Federal Member for New England, on 2 February 2008.
