This war memorial comprises four large metal gates, two in the centre and one on each side. The gates are supported by four imposing stone pillars. Each pillar bears an honour roll inscribed with those who served in the First World War. Two marble plaques are also attached to the base of the two central pillars. Above the central gates, supported by the central pillars, is a metal cross-bar decorated with two lamps, a metal wreath, and the park's name. The foundation stone for the memorial was laid by Lieutenant Colonel M F Bruxner D.S.O. on 1 November 1922 and the gates were dedicated on 16 February 1924. The memorial is situated at the south-western corner of Glen Innes Anzac Park. Various commemorative services are held on site.
