This photographic honour roll commemorates members of the Coffs Harbour Surf Life Saving Club who died in service or were killed in action in the Second World War. The club's archives indicate at the outbreak of the war it had 68 members, and of these 64 enlisted. Nine members paid the supreme sacrifice. The cedar board features photographs of those nine, each with an accompanying small plaque containing their service details. The Daily Examiner on 24 October 1945 reported: "Mr. Hall, branch president, donated £10/10/ for an honour roll to the memory of members from all clubs within the branch who paid the supreme sacrifice. The honour roll was to be placed in the Coff's Harbour Surf Club house, the present branch headquarters." The memorial is located in the club's dining room.
