This honour roll contains the names of 117 members of the Manilla Patriotic Football Club, 17 of whom made the supreme sacrifice. The club decided to raise funds to help soldiers and their dependents, which included a contribution to the construction of a widow's house. A large crowd attended the Manilla Mechanics Institute on Monday 9 December 1918 to witness the unveiling. The stage was illuminated with electric lights to represent the club colours of cerise and blue, and the words 'Brave Boys All'. Mrs George Ryan, a local war widow, unveiled the honour roll. In March 1919, the Mechanics Institute gave permission for the honour roll to be placed in the reading room. It was later moved to the Military Room at the Manilla Heritage Museum.
