Marble roll of honor for the First World War, mounted on a polished wood surround. The roll is located on an internal wall at Scarborough Public School. Additional information by Sydney Trains: The Scarborough Public School roll is a white marble honor roll, inscribed with the names of 131 veterans from the Scarborough community who served in the First World War. It appears to have had a second marble piece added below, inscribed with additional names. The alphabetical order of the names is intrrupted which suggests a later addition. It is now mounted on a timber backing board and appears to be in good condition. It is highly possible this is the missing roll originally unveiled at Scarborough railway station, which had an additional plaque added to it in 1918 (Sydney Morning Herald, 30 May 1918).
