The memorial is a simple timber honour roll commemorating ex pupils from Spring Grove Public School who served in the First World War. The honour roll is formed of two pieces of timber with the inscription and names of the veterans painted in gold shadow lettering. The pediment is a steep triangular shape with a gold painted quatrefoil in the centre above the inscription. The memorial was created during the First World War and would have been unveiled at the school. The Spring Grove School was established near Casino. It was a provisional school from May 1906 to June 1909 and a public school from July 1909 until its closure in March 1958. The memorial is now located in the Casino Historical Museum.
