The Willow Tree and District First World War Honour Roll is a white marble tablet, with a classical pediment at the top. It is decorated with the emblem of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, positioned below two crossed swords. The roll set within the northern exterior wall of the Willow Tree War Memorial Hall, which was built in the 1950s. It is protected by an awning. Prior to this, it was attached to the front facade of the former memorial hall, which was opened on 25 August 1928. The roll was officially unveiled by Major-General Cox during the 1928 opening ceremony for the hall. A photograph of the event appeared in The Sydney Mail on 26 September 1928 and the roll appears to be visible on the left side of the image.
