The brick porch at St John's Anglican Church in Branxton, NSW, was built in honour of those who served in the Second World War. It is accompanied by a timber honour roll, which hangs inside the church. The roll is an elegant piece, featuring two square columns that frame the board. It is topped with a golden statue of a soldier, wearing a slouch hat and holding a rifle. A golden peace dove is positioned below the soldier and above the inscription. The roll includes 55 veterans of the war, including one servicewoman. Six names are marked with a gold star, indicating they were killed in action or otherwise died as a result of their service.
