The memorial consists of three separate stone panels. The centre panel is off set from the others. Each panel is in the shape of a wave or sail. The memorial is located in the park next to Redhead Community Hall. Left panel At the top is the Southern Cross and the post-Second World War stone tablet. Centre panel At the top is the Australian Imperial Forces badge above the Second World War tablet, Timor Peacekeeping inscription and the official unveiling plaque. Right panel On the left side of the panel are the emblems of the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force (A.I.F.). On the right side is a bronze Honour Roll for1914 - 1919 and a stone tablet for the First World War. Notes on veterans' names: W Fordham is given on the memorial as W Fordam. G Paterson, J Paterson (AIF) and J Paterson (Women's Auxiliary Air Force) are given on the memorial as Patterson. R Croker and W Croker are given on the memorial as Crocker. The Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour gives L Kay as Thomas Leslie Hobson Kay, and R Grimwood as Joseph Redvers Grimwood. Australian War Memorial records indicate W(illiam) Croker was awarded a Military Medal.
