Rectangular brick platform topped with two granite slabs, surmounted by a brass sculptural terrain map of the Sandakan and Ranau areas of Borneo, including the route taken on the forced death marches. On the north, east and west faces of the brick platform are three plaques listing the names of the prisoners.
