Remembrance Place is a memorial park, located in Murwillumbah, NSW. It features lawns, shrubs, walkways, trees, and several war memorials. A timber sign on the roadside identifies the area. In 1917, discussions took place within the local council and Murwillumbah community to name the town's railway bridge reserve. The word 'Anzac' was considered but the site was ultimately named Newell Park, to acknowledge the work of the Mayor, Alderman Newell. In time, the park was renamed Remembrance Place. Anzac Day services and other commemorative events are held on site. The park's other memorials are listed separately on the NSW War Memorials Register, under the 'Related memorials' heading below.
