Two 'Tank Traps' are located next to the Cold Tea Creek bridge in Belmont South. They were used to defend the area during the Second World War. Each trap is a concrete tetrahdon, standing 1.7 metres high, and 'dumble' (refer inscription). Attached to one of the structures is a bronze plaque, inscribed with information about the traps and their purpose. It was installed as part of the Australia Remembers campaign to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the war. The plaque was unveiled on 20 December 1996.
