The memorial is an honour roll of distinctive shape comprising of a lightly coloured timber roll of honour mounted on a rectangular dark timber board, surrounded with a dark timber frame. The honour roll commemorates those from Chillingham and the surrounding district who served in the Second World War. The names of 44 veterans from the Second World War are inscribed on metal nameplates attached to the board in alphabetical order. An additional nameplate commemorating a veteran from the Korean War is also attached. The date of the unveiling of the memorial is not known.
