The memorial is a polished timber honour roll dedicated to members of the Richmond Presbyterian Church who enlisted in the First World War. The honour roll is located in the front porch of the church (now St Andrew's Uniting Church). The memorial board is topped with a pediment decorated with painted crossed flags of Australian and the Union Jack. The name of the honour roll is painted below in gilt lettering. The honour roll has been extended, with supporting shelves positioned at the top, centre, and bottom. Carved columns frame each side of the top section of the honour roll. The names and fate of 37 veterans are written in gold in a single column down the honour roll, with gold decorative work on either side of the names. The first name on the honour roll is that of Captain W B Douglas. A marble memorial tablet dedicated to Captain William Bowman Douglas, who died of wounds received at Gallipoli on 5 May 1915, is also located within the church.
