This honour roll is constructed of timber and features simple decorative carvings. The names and dedication, to those who served in the Second World War, are painted on the middle section of the board in gold. The area located on the Northern Rivers of NSW is known as Tyagarah; however, it is spelt 'Tygarah' on the roll. A War Memorial Committee was formed in Tyagarah by June 1946 and set out to raise funds, through sports days, patriotic races and other social functions. The roll was unveiled in the Tyagarah Hall on Wednesday 30 June 1948 at 8pm. Secretary K. Johnston had invited all returned men to attend. The roll was once located in the Tyagarah School of Arts. It has since been relocated to the Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club. Access to the memorial is restricted to the opening hours of the club.
