This large metal sculpture features an eternal flame, with the words 'Lest we forget' in embossed lettering. Below the sculpture is a metal honour roll dedicated to those Australians who served in the Second World War and conflicts in South East Asia. It was dedicated on 25 April 1982 by Reverend Hank Smit, on behalf of the Casino Ministers Fraternal. The memorial is located in the entrance foyer of the Casino and District Memorial Hospital. Hanging on the wall either side is the Casino and District Memorial Hospital First World War Roll of Honour and underneath it is the Casino and District Memorial Hospital Second World War Commemorative Plaque.
