This memorial was originally located on the intersection of Bacon and Mary Streets, Grafton. It is a small, granite pillar with four brass plaques, containing the names of 45 servicemen and women from the First and Second World Wars and Korea who fell. These veterans were originally commemerated with an avenue of trees planted in 1949, but over the years the trees died and the original plaques disappeared. The present memorial was established in 1982 and later moved to Memorial Park, Grafton.
