The Crescent Head War Memorial is a dedicated to all those who have served in the Australian defence forces. It consists of a cylindrical concrete pillar that has been covered with stones. On top of the pillar is a statue of a soldier wearing a slouch hat and holding a rifle. At the base of the pillar is a plaque listing the conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial stands on a three-step concrete platform, bordered by a chain-link fence. To the right of the memorial is a sundial and to its left is a flagpole. The surrounding garden is planted out with rosemary and other low shrubs. The memorial was dedicated on Anzac Day, 25 April 1964 by Reverand E. Williams. It originally consisted of the pillar only and the statue was added at a later date
