The memorial is yellow-brick clock tower, which was constructed by the Narrabri Rotary Club in 1978 and handed over to the local council in 1980. It contains the original war memorial clock and stone honour rolls for the First World War from the original clock tower, which were constructed for the Narrabri Town Hall in 1930. The two rolls commemorate 58 veterans and were made by prominent stonemason M.W. Hardy of Narrabri. The rolls were once located at the Narrabri Memorial Pool. There is also a plaque detailing the history of the clock tower and one listing members of the Narrabri District Soldiers' Memorial Executive Committee. Note: On the honour roll, C Illingworth is spelt as C Illingsworth.
