This memorial is an illuminated address, displayed in a dark wooden frame behind glass. It is located in the Nundle Memorial Hall. It was presented to the parents of Private Andrew Mills in May 1918 . The birth of Andrew to William and Mary Mills was registered at Tamworth and he attended Woolomin Public School. As a single labourer, he enlisted as a private in the 3rd Battalion, 16th Reinforcement on 10 January 1916. The unit embarked from Sydney on board HMAT SS Makarini on 1 April 1916. As a private in the 55th Battalion, he died of wounds on 24 September 1917 at Polygon Wood, Belgium. He was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery in Belgium.
