This commemorative site features two memorials, situated in a tranquil setting close to the waters edge of Wallis Lake. The larger of the two is a memorial wall comprised of three sandstone pillars. The centre pillar displays the three armed services badges in bronze relief, surmounted by a torch and laurel wreath. Both outer connected pillars display an honour roll of those from the district who enlisted for wars covering the period 1914 to 1973. A flagstaff is set immediately behind the wall, and a walkway leading from the road is bordered by gardens containing rosemary, the symbol for remembrance. Nearby is a smaller stone memorial to National Servicemen. It consists of a granite marker faced with the National Servicemen's Association badge and a dedication plaque.
