Dedicated parkland containing 10 memorials, including the park's dedication plinth, plus three 'guns' and signage. Additional picnic and play ground equipment exists, connected by pathways and enriched by extensive gardens. Additional Information The memorial park came into being after a park was split in two by Main Roads. The Rats of Tobruk Association received approval to erect a memorial on one section. A number of Ex Service organisations were wishing to locate small memorials in the city and Director, Health & Enviroment, Greg Savage proposed using the other half of the park and a layout design was created, with a size restriction for future memorials. Council refurbished a 'Bofors' gun and relocated a Japanese field gun and a Howitzer to the site. The Lions Club had historic involvement. The service held on 3 September ccommemorating Battle for Australia, International Mariners and Australian Flag Day provides an opportunity for those attending to place their wreath on any of the memorials situated in the park. Some also hold regular annual services at their respective memorial.
