Bronze plaque recessed atop a concreteplinth, commemorating the 7th Australian Destroyer Flotilla N Class destroyers of the Royal Australian Navy during the Second World War. The plinth is located within the memorial precinct, with flagpole on Wickham Point. It is the half way point of the Caloundra Memorial Walk. Additional Information The destroyers HMA Ships Napier, Nizam, Nestor, Norman and Nepal were commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy between 1940 and 1942. They served in many theatres of war until 1945, including in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific.HMAS Nestor was lost in the Mediterranean on 16 June 1942.
