A Helidon sandstone cenotaph with plinth on a white stone platform. One small white plaque is inserted at the top front with stylised A.I.F. and another just above the plinth, which displays Their Name Liveth For Evermore. This memorial represents all the servicemen from Ipswich district who are buried overseas. Additional Information The cenotaph was designed by Ipswich architect George Brockwell Gill who was responsible for a number of significant domestic and civic buildings. The mason was F Williams and Co of Ipswich. It was unveiled on Armistice night, 1932 and was paid for by the Ipswich RSL Sub-Branch at a cost of 110 pounds.
