A Memorial School of Arts building, dedicated to the memory of 23 young men from the Kumbia District who made the supreme sacrifice in the First World War 1914 - 1918. The recognition of this sacrifice is displayed on an Honour Stone, located at the front entrance of the building. The Stone consists of a vertical marble slab, set atop a three step plinth. The slab is inscribed. The School of Arts also contains commemorative and memorial elements including two significant Honour Boards to WWI and WWII individuals from the district. Additional Information The School of Arts was built in 1922 in memory of the 'Fallen' from the district and has remained a central meeting place for the community in the area. The first ANZAC Day service was held at the School of Arts in 1929.
