Dedicated in 1993, relocation of the brass Honour Boards from the railway station, that represented names from World War I, World War II, and Since World War II, were located in a new covered niche near the memorial. Preparatory work commenced mid-1993 for a new memorial consisting of 1.5 x 1m stone with Rising Sun and lest We Forget. This is enclosed in a 3 walled niche on which are placed the copper Honour Boards relocated from the world famous picturesque railway station, and a new Honour Board for post-World War II names. The Honour Boards are covered with protective glass and the whole niche roofed for protection from the weather.
