Circular concrete base supporting red brick pillar, with four supporting plinths on cardinal point. Mounted on the vertical aspect are two (2) inscribed marble tablets detailing the names of those members of the school community who fell during the First World War. The Pillar also bears two moulded laurel wreaths and is capped with a significant flag pole. Surrounding the superior aspect of the pillar is the dedication inscription. The memorial flagpole is set in the forecourt entrance of the school and structure complements the red brick facade of the traditonal and original school buildings. Additional Information In 1922, permission was granted to erect a Memorial Drinking Fountain, with a tablet to honour former pupils of the school who were killed in the First World War. The memorial cost at the time was 115, a considerable amount and was achieved by contributions made by members of the school community and local residents.
