Bronze plaque dedicated to the memory of the 'Pathfinders' Wing of the Royal Air Force and the associated Air Forces attached during World War II. The Pathfinders were utilised by the Air Forces for increased precision bombing and targeting of sites, through use of navigational beams and incendiary (or fire) bombs, to direct other following aircraft. The death toll was 47% amongst crews and included more than 500 Australians. The plaque displays unit statistics and Squadron designations, along with the RAF Eagle.
