Redbank Plains War Memorial

This memorial has outstanding significance as the only one of its type in Queensland and an all encompassing tribute to ex-service personnel. It consists of sculptured concrete slabs and flagpole and is set on a concrete surround. The heads depicted are a sailor, soldier - with real Rising Sun badge set into the upturned slouch hat, pilot with appropriate helmet, and a woman service person. Additional Information Unveiled by W A Prenzler, President, Moreton District RSL, and dedicated by Chaplain P N Playstead, Royal Australian Army Headquarters, 1st Division, on 10 April 1986. Sculptor was Mr T Farrell of Pine Mountain.
