South Kolan State School War Memorial was relocated in 1966 from Kalbar State School. It honours four former students at Kalbar State School and was erected by the residents of the district. The memorial takes the form of a broken column, displaying a Lee Metford Rifle and bandolier. The column is supported by circular plinths and includes the Roll of Honour, which is engraved on the front aspect of the memorial. The column is set into a memorial precinct, within the grounds of the school. It is complemented by a flagpole.
