Two concrete posts painted in the School colours of gold and black supporting a steel gate. The words, 'The Townsville Grammar School War Memorial Oval' are displayed across the gates, which act as the entrance to the main sporting oval. Additional Information In the early 1950 s a committee of past students raised enough money to build the gate and up-date the Oval. In 1995 the Memorial was re-dedicated during the VP (Victory in the Pacific) 50th Anniversary Celebrations. In 1998, a Lone Pine tree was planted on the Oval to acknowledge the five students and one teacher who lost their lives at Gallipoli.
