This memorial is dedicated to Victoria Cross recipients. The memorial consists of four large boulders on a paved area with the Victoria Cross in the centre. Metal plaques have been installed on each boulder to commemorate the Victoria Cross recipients for each of the wars, including the Boer War, WWI, WWII and Vietnam. Additional Information The Memorial Park is a tribute to Keith Payne, who lived in Stafford at the time of his Victoria Cross decoration on 1970. He was one of four servicemen awarded a Victoria Cross during the Vietnam conflict. The memorial and park grounds are maintained by the community of Stafford and Stafford Heights Primary Schools.
