The timber obelisk monument, located in a small grassed park with garden beds and paved areas, is a tapered, four sided shaft of local Crow’s Ash (Flindersia Australis), standing on a concrete base and covered with a tiled roof. Brass plaques showing the names of those from the Yarraman District who served their nation are attached on each side of the obelisk. Australian Imperial Force, Royal Australian Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Flag badges are also attached on each side of the obelisk. To the east of the obelisk is a flagpole, and a shelter shed over a picnic table. Additional Information On ANZAC Day 1995 the RSLA Yarraman Sub Branch, in co-operation with the Rosalie Shire Council, unveiled and dedicated a unique timber monument to remember the sacrifices made by the men and women who served their nation from the Yarraman District. In 2010 a $34,000 upgrade of the Cenotaph and Memorial Park, organised by the RSLA Yarraman Sub Branch, was carried out, including the addition of bronze plaques listing the names of those from Yarraman District who served their nation in war or conflict.
