Armidale A.I.F. Sportsground First and Second World War Memorial Entrance

These memorial gates are located at the Armidale AIF Sportsground. They consist of two stone walls, positioned either side of the driveway. Hanging from the walls are two metal gates, bearing the dedication. A plaque is attached to the left wall.  The gates were officially unveiled on 17 December 1966. They replaced the original stone archway (image 4 above), which was built in 1923. This entrance was demolished on 29 April 1962 by an army truck.
