The Stroud Cenotaph is a brick and sandstone pillar, featuring a Celtic Cross on its front face. Various plaques are attached to the sides of the pillar, including honour rolls for the Second World War and the National Service Scheme. Standing directly behind the pillar is a brick and sandstone wall, with honour rolls attached for the First World War. A brick and sandstone bench stands in front of the wall. The pillar and wall are positioned on a rectangular median strip on Memorial Avenue. It is paved with tiles. Two flagpoles stand to the rear of the memorial, on either side of the road.
