Anzac Reserve in Wollombi, NSW, was established in 1993 in honour of those who served in the First World War. It is located on the southern bank of Narone Creek, approximately 1km east of Wollombi. The reserve features a striking sculpture of a Waler horse, made by Andrew Whitehead. It is a tribute to the many Waler horses who also served in the war, and did not return. Also on site is a Lone Pine, planted on Anzac Day, 25 April 2003. Both are accompanied by bronze plaques attached to bushrocks.
