The memorial consists of two hand-written roll of honour pages, presented behind glass in matching timber frames. Both pages are decorated with the same elegant design, featuring flowers, leaves, and a swirling border. The border surrounds the inscription and the list of names on each page. Both lists are set out in two columns and are not in alphabetical order, which suggests the roll was added to as more men enlisted. In total, the pages lists 53 members of the Mangrove Mountain community who served in the First World War. The roll was created by Mr. H. Kimberley and presented to the Mangrove Mountain Union Church around August 1915 (The Gosford Times and Wyong District Advocate, 13 August 1915). He may have later enlisted, as an 'H. Kimberley' is the last name written on the left-hand side page. The roll remains on site and is located on the right-hand side wall, as you move from the vestibule into the church itself.
